We have information on a wide range of health topics. We have free pamphlets, booklets, posters, DVDs and education kits available.

Alcohol at events

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay has developed alcohol-free resources to support local event managers (or anyone organising an event) to promote their event as alcohol-free, or to create alcohol free areas within events that involve alcohol.

We have a range of resources and equipment available including tear-drop flags, market umbrellas and bean bag loungers that will assist event managers to identify and provide alcohol-free, family-friendly areas within events.

One for One is a Hawke's Bay brand that has been successfully promoted for a number of years by HBDHB, Police, ACC and councils. One for One promotes safer drinking through a simple message: drink one glass of water for every alcoholic beverage, whether at home or at a licensed premise.
