A swimming warning on Pandora Pond in Napier is back in place following today’s test results which again shows high levels of bacteria in the pond.
Hawke’s Bay District Health Board is reminding people to choose well for health care when junior doctors go on strike for 48 hours from 7am tomorrow and to leave the Emergency Department (ED) for people requiring emergency or life-threatening care.
Tears of joy were shed by Hawke’s Bay Hospital’s frontline paediatric staff at the Countdown Kids Hospital Appeal announcement this morning, with the news a special isolation room and dedicated outside space for immune-compromised kids would become a reality.
The Intensive Care Unit or ICU is a specially staffed and equipped unit that provides care for patients with life threatening or potentially life threatening conditions. Our aim is to return patients to a quality of life that is acceptable to them, to minimise suffering and to reduce disability.
